Access the Trading Platform via the Client Portal.
*You will only be able to access this after your account is successfully Open
Before you access US shares, remember to fill in your W-8BEN Form. This step is mandatory before you can start trading US shares. Keep in mind that it usually takes about 1-2 working days for the form to be validated. Form W-8BEN is a requirement of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to document that an account holder is the beneficial owner of the income and is not a U.S. person. |

Once your W-8BEN Form is approved, you’re good to go. But wait, there’s more! You can activate the US Market Data Level 1 subscription without any charges (for now, at least!). *Please note that only funded accounts are eligible to subscribe to market data.Once your account is funded, just go to “Settings” and click on “Subscription.” Don’t worry about the US$1 fee; we’ll cover it for you. Simply subscribe, and we’ll take care of the cost. While you are waiting for the validation on the W-8BEN Form, feel free to subscribe to the market data and keep yourself updated with the US market. |
Now that you’ve got everything set up, it’s time to build your watchlist. Head to the watchlist section, create new watchlists by clicking on “New” or choose an existing watchlist, for example by selecting “US Equities” from the dropdown box. Then, start searching for your favourite stocks to add them to your list. You’re all set and ready to start trading! |

To qualify for investing in or trading CFDs, FX, Mutual Funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Futures, Bonds, and Equity Options, you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
If you do not meet any of the above criteria, you will need to complete the required educational modules to satisfy the Customer Knowledge Assessment (CKA) or Customer Account Review (CAR). Looking to short options or have crypto FX enabled for your account?
First, ensure you are already eligible to invest in that product under ProsperUs ‘Products’ page. Second, you may email your request to [email protected]. The team will send you a Risk Warning which highlights some of the risks associated with trading short equity options. You must acknowledge your understanding and acceptance of the associated risks via email reply. |
Unable to see the products you want to invest / trade in even after you are eligible for the product?
Head over to Boost or Build platform > Settings > Trading Products > click on the products you would like to trade in. |
If you have multiple currency accounts e.g. SGD and USD.
You are able to place an order if you have sufficient cash balance in your overall ProsperUs account. When you are placing an order for any of the US exchanges, your US currency account is selected by default. You are required to ensure there is sufficient cash balance in your currency account before placing an order. If you do not have sufficient cash balance available in your US currency account, you will incur debit interest fee for negative cash balance. The cash available in your currency account is displayed at the bottom of the trade ticket. |
Internal Transfer of funds
To initiate an inter account transfer of funds between your currency accounts, log into your ProsperUs account with your laptop and desktop only, go to BOOST, under Account > Deposits and Transfers > Sub-account Transfer. This will be subjected to prevailing FX rates. Not available on mobile app and iPhone mobile browser. Android phone users may enable “Desktop site” on Chrome mobile browser. |
From the Client Portal, go to Manage Funds > My Fund > Deposit. Choose from three currency options and deposit using PayNow, FAST transfer, or Telegraphic Transfer.
Please note that (1) the funds must come from a bank account in your name and (2) we do not accept funding via 3rd party funding, 3rd party application funding or e-wallets, such as GrabPay, GooglePay, DBS Paylah!, Wise, etc. (list is not exhaustive). |
All withdrawal will be credited to the verified bank account(s) submitted. To initiate a withdrawal request, Manage Funds >Withdraw |
Please ensure that you are not withdrawing funds that are pending for settlement of trades, which may take 1-3 business days, depending on the respective exchanges. Withdrawal of funds that have not been settled will incur financing charges, given that we are required to borrow capital to finance your early withdrawal. |
